Counterfeit Kit Challenge May Reveal and Blog Hop

Happy May and welcome to my stop on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge May Reveal Blog Hop! This month we are taking our inspiration from the fun and celebratory May/June 2014 Quirky Kits. Here is the bright and happy trio guiding our selections this month:
"It's My Party" Main Kit
"Shiny Happy People" Lite Kit
"You've Got the Love" Embellishment Kit

May is going to be a very exciting and eventful month around here, with Mother's Day, a college commencement, several birthdays and a graduation celebration, so I made sure to include plenty of festive items to help me record all those special days. Here is my kit, "The Icing on the Cake":
We could use one, two or all of the kits as a starting point and I found myself keeping in mind bits and pieces from all three as I pulled together my kit. As usual, I took a look at the kits, made my list and then "shopped" my supplies:
First up, the papers:
Top row, left to right: Kaisercraft/Silver Bells Collection/"Merry Christmas" (pink bokeh) and "Good Tidings" (gray wood grain), My Mind's Eye/Just Sayin' by Rhonna Farrer/"Garden Party", Amy Tangerine/Stitched/"Garden", and Adrienne Looman for Webster's Pages/Beautiful Chic/"Swatches"
Bottom row, left to right: Basic Grey/Pheobe/"Embarcadero", Chickaniddy Crafts/365/"Daydream", Fancy Pants/As You Wish/"Change", Teresa Collins/Collector's Edition/"Guilded" and Crate Paper/Maggie Homes Flea Market/bokeh vellum

I got carried away selecting embellishments this month and added far more than usual to my kit - maybe I was already caught up in the party atmosphere!
I included chipboard pieces from My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon, rub-ons from Maggie Holmes and My Mind's Eye (an old set of alphas that may or may not still be good), an ephemera pack from Pink Paislee and a pack of labels from Fancy Pants. I'm planning to combine the labels with the rub ons and the stamps you'll see below.
To add a little dimension to my pages, I added enamel dots, hearts and arrows, puffy stickers, tiny chipboard words, a tag/pocket and two embellished pockets that I made last summer and still haven't used. The wood veneer and flair are forgeries - I'll have details about those back here on the 4th.
And rounding out the rest of the embellishments are several stamps and some washi tape. This kit definitely has me in the mood to celebrate!
