CKC February Layouts

I really liked what I'd put together for my CKC mini kit for February and since I still had most of it left after I made my first page, I decided to keep working with it.  You can see the kit and layout here.  I was able to use up all the patterned paper I included with these two additional pages.

For the first page, I used an 8x8 photo against the bold watercolor stripes of the background paper:

I stitched a wavy line of punched circles on the right of the page and then added a favorite quote with black letter stickers.

I like this page so much that I think I'll display it for the next few months until I can actually begin cutting flowers from my garden again.

Before I punched the circles, I trimmed that 12x12 paper to 8-1/2x11 so that I could use it as a background for my next page, which also has a floral theme.

I accented the page with lots of die-cuts and chipboard, pulling the black, white, pink and yellow pieces from the embellishments I included in my kit.  The journaling is on the white tag tucked beneath my photos.

I especially liked that cute banner and the two black & white frame die-cuts.

Since I've now used all the patterned papers in my kit, I'm calling it done.  I put the remaining embellishments back in my supplies to use another day.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Nice job! I especially like the layout with the circles on the side--I'll be copying that one. I just got my Studio Calico kit and will be taking some ideas from your layouts. Thanks.

    1. Thanks so much, Carrie - I'm glad I was able to inspire you a bit!

  2. Perfect Susan pages! You have such a stunning style and I love everything that you do. You make it all look so easy and yet I know that I'd struggle to make such lovely, simple, perfect layouts! The dotty paper is gorgeous and both layouts are divine. I love that you made the circle banner down the side of the page - it's something I need to try that out for myself. I guess I'll have to use my Cameo...

    1. Thanks so much Lisa! I just used two different size circle punches and my sewing machine to make the banner - my Cameo is very sadly neglected!
