CKC April Mini Kit Reveal and Project

Hello everyone and Happy April! It's mini-kit reveal day on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and as a reminder, here is the inspiration kit we are using for the month:

I really like the fun colors of the kit - it's perfect for springtime! I kept the colors in mind when I selected the pieces for my mini-kit.

I filled my mini-kit with pocket cards from Elle's Studio and Gossamer Blue because both of those companies featured pieces with bright and vibrant colors. I also included lots of labels (Gossamer Blue), puffy hearts (Elle's Studio), tags (Elle's Studio), vellum pieces (Elle's Studio) and three stamp sets (Gossamer Blue and Dear Lizzy).

When I was searching through my Gossamer Blue supplies, I found a turquoise acrylic word.  It perfectly matched the colors in my mini-kit and it inspired the project I'd make with it.

If you've been reading here for a while, you know that I enjoy gardening.  I decided to use my mini-kit to make a mini-album about my love for flowers.  The pocket cards and tags would serve as the pages, and the album would be held together with a book ring.  I planned to include small photos of my favorite blooms along with some quotes from my garden Pinterest board.  Here's a little flip through the pages:

This mini-album was just a joy to create!

Please stop by the CKC blog today to see Leslie's mini-kit and project.  If you play along with us this month, please add a link to your project on the CKC blog here.  You can also share on Instagram - we're @counterfeitkitchallenge there and you can use #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcapril2018 to tag your posts.  We also have a Facebook community and we'd love to see you sharing there as well - we're the Counterfeit Kit Community.
