The Ton's 4th Anniversary Blog Hop - Day 3

I am very happy to be participating in Day 3 of the mini hop for the 4th Anniversary celebration for The Ton!  Here are the details about the mini hop, along with info about a great giveaway you can enter:

The Ton is celebrating 4 years this month and Effie has introduced 9 new designs for this release. There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details.

GIVEAWAYS: There are also giveaways everyday on these mini hops! Win a stamp of choice from The Ton's new release. To enter, leave a comment on each blog each day. Effie will choose one winner per day (4 winners total) and announce the winners on The Ton's blog by January 12. The comment period for these giveaways will close on January 11 at 7pm EST.

You should have arrived here from Kira's blog -  I'll have the links to your next destination at the bottom of this post.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you that when Effie offered me my choice of stamp for the mini hop that I selected a floral one.  Take a look at this beautiful "Today's Cosmos" set - it is so detailed and lovely and reminds me of the cosmos flowers I grow in my garden every summer.

And here is the layout I made with the stamp set:

I began by stamping the flowers onto pink and standard vellum and then fussy-cut them.  These images stamped beautifully and I love how you can see all the details of those pretty flowers.  It's winter here where I live so these stamps are the next best thing to the real cosmos flowers!

I also stamped and fussy-cut the smaller accent flowers and the two leaf sprigs and then arranged everything into a wreath on a 12"x12" sheet of light pink wood grain paper.

Once my wreath was in place, I added my photo and a stamped sentiment inside.  I didn't want to disrupt the flow of the page with anything else, so I added my journaling on the reverse side of the page.  The sentiment reminded me that we can find beauty everywhere, even in the petals dropped from a tree in the spring when their bloom has faded.

Thanks so much to Effie for asking me to participate and to you for stopping by today!  And now you'll want to head over to Olga's blog to see what she is sharing in today's mini hop.

Here is the complete list for today's mini hop.  You can also find all of the links on The Ton's blog, the first stop listed below:

4.  Kira Ness
5.  Susan B  (you are here!)
7.  Ilda Dias

Don't forget to leave a comment on all the stops to be eligible for the giveaway, and Happy Anniversary to The Ton!

  2. A new stamp source for me - is that a good thing?!? OF COURSE. Susan, this is truly gorgeous! Wondering how you adhered the vellum & if it was problematic because of edges curling? Fussy cut vellum = mind blown! Hopping on...

    1. I used a glue stick to adhere the vellum. It's a Ranger product that I got from A Cherry on Top. Here's the link: https://www.acherryontop.com/shop/product/398579
Ali Edwards recommended something similar on a December Daily video. This is the first time I used it so I can't speak to its longevity but we'll see. I didn't have any curling issues either, even though I just added the adhesive to the center of the flowers. The vellum just came from Michael's so it wasn't anything fancy.
